Lyrics

I grew up in a single breath,
a breath not mine, but nevertheless,
a part of me had died; another born.
The sun came up at six a.m.,
and I awoke, yet again,
to a world bent on spinnin' another morn.

I guess that I expected something else.
I thought I understood the time that tells.

I've seen heroes rise and fall!
I've worn the cape, and I've heard the call!
I always thought I'd save the world some day.
But the older I get, the more it takes
to fill me up, to keep the faith
that I'm strong enough to do the things I say.

I guess that I expected something else.
I thought I understood the time that tells.

Breathe out, breathe in.
Without, within.
I still carry your body each and every day.
